Magnets

• Compare the strength of different types of magnets.
  Does the magnets strength change at different temperatures?
• What happens to a magnets strength when it suffers physical shock?
• Build an electromagnet. What factors affect the electromagnets strength?
• Magnetise a fluid using an electromagnet and build an electromagnetic brake system.

Electricity

• 
  Does temperature influence resistance/conductance through different materials?
• What is the effect of temperature on the resistance of commercially produced resistors?

Sport

• What is the effect of temperature on the bounce of pucks and balls? Try squash balls and hockey pucks (make sure you use a sensible temperature range-hockey isn't played at 30C).

Heat and Energy

• How much energy do different fuels produce?
• How much heat energy is needed to increase the temperature of substance. Compare the effect of mass and volume? Does the temperature range or starting temperature make a difference?
